Yesterday I did a of Spectrim Contour+ facial treatment on a client, and I was so impressed with the results that I just needed to share it! The spa I work at has only recently purchased this machine, so we are still in the phase of working out what results we can achieve.
This client had her first treatment last week, and as I was the therapist who treated her both times, I was able to observe the changes to her skin. My client is in her 40’s; her skin is in fairly good condition, though she has fine lines around her mouth, eyes and forehead. Before I had even started her second treatment I was amazed at the results from her previous session. The treatment is designed to tone and tighten skin, remove wrinkles, and help get rid of bags under the eyes. My client on both occasions had LED Light Therapy after her Contour session, so obviously the treatments are working wonders together on her skin. Though I hold both treatments in high esteem, I really was pleasantly surprised at such a fast result! As I said to my client, I really wish I had taken some before photos, but you will have to be satisfied with my word instead.
The Contour+ works by using radio frequency (RF), infrared laser, and mechanical manipulation, in this case, a vacuum and massage mechanism. The infrared and RF heat the skin, penetrating to a depth between 2mm and 20mm. At the same time, the vacuum function lifts and smooths out fine lines. I’ll be honest, I’ve had a little bit of trouble grasping the science behind the machine, so I’m going to stop now with the ‘how it works’, and just focus on the ‘does it work’.
The machine is actually very versatile, so while we can offer this amazing facial treatment, we can also use the machine for body treatments. Using the same three functions, RF, infrared and mechanical manipulation, we can help clients to lose weight, tone and sculpt their body, and remove cellulite and stretch marks.
I have just started having my own treatments on my thighs to remove stretch marks. I have now had four sessions, followed by LED Light Therapy on the area. Though I have been a little bit slack with the frequency of my treatments (ideally I should be doing two a week for five weeks, but I have done just one a week at the moment), my stretch marks have almost completely disappeared! I am going to continue having treatments until my ten are up, and planning on being a lot more strict with sticking to the two a week goal, but all in all, I’m super impressed with this machine! I have come across treatments claiming similar sorts of outcomes before, and never been overly impressed with the results I’ve seen, so it is a welcome change to have the opportunity to use a machine that so far works wonders! As far as toning and sculpting my thighs, I admit, so far I’m unsure of the results. I have been doing a lot of exercise lately, and am already fairly slim, so I am not really expecting to start seeing results until at least the sixth treatment in, but hey, here’s hoping I see results sooner!
